Upcoming events with the CHIMA chapters

Canadian Health Information Management Association February 1, 2019

The chapter committees are busy planning the deliverables and timelines for the next CHIMA membership year, which begins on March 1, 2019. Included in these plans will be more education and networking opportunities for the members.

The Chapter Advisory Council (CAC) met on January 29, 2019, having last met on November 5 (online as well) and September 15-16 (in-person) in advance of the CHIMA conference in Niagara Falls. The CAC is comprised of CHIMA staff, a representative from the CHIMA Board of Directors, and each of the chapter committee chairs.

Most of the chapter committees are hoping to host an in-person education day or workshop this year.

The following CHIMA chapters have confirmed dates:

BCYT chapter committee is hosting an in-person education and membership engagement event titled Building for the Future – Embracing Change in Vancouver on March 22, 2019
NB chapter committee is hosting an in-person education day on June 7, 2019 in Fredericton, NB
ON chapter committee is hosting an in-person education day on November 22, 2019 in Toronto, ON
