    The privacy awareness module will provide an overview of provincial, territorial, and federal legislation and agreements related to health information.     The release of information (ROI) module covers key privacy principles and best practices for documenting ROI in electronic medical records.     Module 3: Access and disclosure in patient portals, information sharing, and health information exchange environment

    The access and disclosure module is in relation to patient portals, information sharing and health information exchange environments. Portal architecture models will be discussed along with their privacy and security considerations (e.g., managing access, encryptions and password resets).     Module 4: Security/cybersecurity

    For CHIMA members

    Upon purchasing the series/individual module, a CHIMA member will receive an order receipt for their purchase. You can then log-in, navigate to your dashboard, and select ‘My professional development’ to access the module(s).

    If this is the first time signing in to the new online platform since April 27, 2020, please re-set your password by following these instructions:

    1. Empty your browser’s cache
    2. Refresh echima.ca
    3. Click on the green ‘reset your password’ button on the home page
    4. Check for an email from CHIMA (it could end up in your junk folder)
    5. Choose a NEW secure password
    6. Sign in using your new details

    For general public

    Upon purchasing the series/individual module, a non-member will receive an order receipt for their purchase and a separate email welcoming them to CHIMA with their account information including a user name and temporary password. They can then log-in, navigate to their dashboard, and select ‘My professional development’ to access the module(s).
