UVic to offer Canada’s first-ever certificate program in
terminology standards

A new graduate certificate program in Health Terminology Standards is now being offered at UVic’s School of Health Information Science. The course is intended to help meet national and international needs for best practices in controlled terminology used across the health sciences.

Classes begin September 2017 for this one-year, part-time, blended delivery program (online with some oncampus sessions). Only 26 seats are available for the first cohort. It is expected that the program will undergo accreditation in summer 2017. Once the Program is accredited, graduates will be eligible to apply for CCHIM terminology certification.

Will you be in the first cohort?

Applications will be accepted until June 15, 2017.
