Information Governance Community meeting – Sharing best practices for data quality

January 20, 2022 @ 2:00 pm 3:00 pm EST

Welcome to the CHIMA Information Governance Community

We will begin this meeting with a land acknowledgment and welcome. Then provide a re-cap from our last meeting.

Tobi Henderson, the manager of information quality at CIHI, will join us to present an overview of the CIHI Information Quality Framework. This framework provides an “overarching structure for practices related to capturing and processing data, and transforming it into information products.” Please review it beforehand and pose any questions you have in the chat. Afterwards, we will discuss how your local quality framework may differ from CIHI’s.
To end, we will ask volunteers to join a working group and continue the discussion on the role, frameworks, and best practices for data collection across the country.

Data and Information Quality Week 2022 also takes place from January 24–28, 2022. Stay tuned for more information and register for upcoming events as they get posted on our events calendar

Looking forward to seeing you then!  This session will be recorded for note-taking purposes but will not be distributed externally.
