Recertification for CHIM designation (< 3 years)
The recertification process is designed for former CHIMA professional members who held a CHIM designation with the Canadian College of Health Information Management.
If you have been decertified for less than three years (< 3 years), please proceed by filling out this form and submitting payment.
Selecting the appropriate recertification type
- Up to 1 year
- Select this option if you have been decertified for up to one year
- $125 recertification fee + $338.74 CHIMA professional membership + taxes
- 1 to 2 years
- Select this option if you have been decertified for 1 to 2 years
- $200 recertification fee + $338.74 CHIMA professional membership + taxes
- 2 to 3 years
- Select this option if you have been decertified for 2 to 3 years
- $275 recertification fee + $338.74 CHIMA professional membership + taxes
- Grace period
- Select this option if you held an active professional membership for the 2025-2026 fiscal year (March 1, 2025 – February 28, 2026).
- $338.74 CHIMA professional membership + taxes
NOTE: If you have been decertified for more than three years (> 3 years), please click here to fill out the appropriate application form.
Select the ‘Grace period +$ 338.74 CAD’ under the recertification type if you recently missed the renewal deadline of February 28, 2026. This option will allow you to renew without an additional cost.
