The Release of Information (ROI) Micro-Credential builds trusted skills for release-of-information roles by validating the competencies required for entry-level ROI positions.
It is intended for graduates of accredited Health Information Management or HICA-accredited programs whose curriculum aligns with the ROI learning outcomes. After passing the CHIM or HICA National Certification Exam (NCE) and obtaining their CHIM or HICA certification, candidates may sit for the ROI National Micro-Credential Exam (NME).
The ROI NME assesses practical knowledge and skills, including:
