The purchase of this package requires an evaluation of your credentials by the College and the eligibility to write the CHIM NCE  is based on the results of that evaluation. Important note: Purchasing this product does not guarantee to write the CHIM NCE. After purchasing this product, an email will be sent to you outlining the next steps of the application process.

The CHIM Experiential Pathway allows professionals working in health information fields who hold a complementary degree and have 3 years recent experience to write the CHIM NCE without having to attend a full program. 

The new CHIM Experiential Package includes:

  • CHIM NCE Preparatory Course
  • CHIM NCE Practice Questions
  • Health Information Fundamentals Self-Assessment Tool
  • Suggested Study Resources

To earn the CHIM designation, applicants can be ready to write the NCE in three steps:

  1. Download and complete the self-assessment
  2. Submit the self-assessment to the College for review and approval
  3. Apply to write the CHIM NCE for $498 + tax.
