0128-Cardiology chart review—coding education session

$70.00

The cardiology chart review is a coding education session that includes an emergency visit, an inpatient stay, and a second inpatient stay after a transfer to a tertiary hospital. There is a thoughtful analysis and a thorough explanation of the required codes.

Note: This education session was originally conducted as a live event on January 28, 2021. After the event, revisions were made to the presentation deck and the Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI) reviewed questions from the audience. CIHI has provided their answers to these questions that are applicable to this use case only.

Professional members: Completion of this course is worth 3 CPE credits with the Canadian College of Health Information Management and will be added to your CPE record automatically. If you attended the live event, duplicate credits cannot be awarded. Please update your CPE record with either the event or this course completion.

Description

“This was one of the best education sessions I have attended. The layout and including the standards made it very helpful to follow the rationale behind the choice of codes. The organizers that put this session together did an excellent job!” – Wendy Rezewski, CHIM
