Description of Job:

A Research Assistant in Clinical Trials works under the direction of a lead researcher in a hospital, research institute, and/ or university department. She/he will be required to assist with the ongoing operations of research and/or clinical trials. 

Job Duties: 

• Support daily operations of a clinical trial 
• Perform official record-keeping duties related to electronic and hard copied files
• Schedule participants
• Complete data entry
• Perform data analyses

Education and Experience Required:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Health Information Management (or Diploma with attendant experience), Nursing, Health Information Science, Health Informatics, or related field
• Minimum of one years’ experience working within a clinical environment
• Certification as a Clinical Research Coordinator is preferred (SOCRA, ACRP)
• CHIM certification is an asset
