Description of Job:

A Registry Unit Analyst is a professional who is skilled in Health Information Management. The Registry Unit Analyst completes diagnosis and resolution of data record problems that may be encountered within a healthcare organization’s electronic health/patient record. She/he has responsibilities for ongoing monitoring and rectification of information pivotal to electronic patent records service. 

Job Duties: 

  • Perform data quality checks on information from source systems and ensure client links across source systems are appropriate
  • Monitor compliance of stakeholders to provincial/territorial standards and privacy and confidentiality guidelines and escalate privacy concerns to the appropriate authority
  • Support and train stakeholders including health records unit personnel 
  • Verify data and identification and follow up to ensure accuracy of all records

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Health Information Management, Nursing, or related field
  • Minimum of one years’ experience working with health records in a complex medical environment
  • CHIM certification
