Description of Job:

The Manager of Clinical Care is part of the Management Team and is responsible for providing consistent, high level support to all clinical staff and team leaders, and associated support staff in a healthcare organization.  She/he will ensure that all organizational policies are followed by individual clinical units, and will be responsible for overseeing units’ use of financial resources.

Job Duties: 

• Ensure excellent and integrated clinical care and protection of privacy throughout clinical services
• Ensure and manage effective and responsible use of financial resources
• Provide high quality data and reporting to funders
• Consult or conduct community assessments in accordance with the organization’s mandate to determine needs and evaluate options for service delivery
• Develop and maintain relationships with diverse community partners and ministries
• Responsible for clinical services development, implementation (including process mapping and strategic reviews), and evaluation, including formal evaluations defined and required by the respective ministry funders
• Ensure quality in clinical program outcome evaluations, and that clinical services meet the standards for accreditation

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a Health Sciences discipline including Health Information Management, Nursing, and Health Administration
• Minimum of five years’ progressive experience in management preferably in a health care setting
• Minimum of three years’ experience with electronic health records 
• CHIM certification is an asset
