    CHIMA Community Guidelines

CHIMA is dedicated to developing and maintaining a friendly online community where people of all backgrounds feel relaxed and comfortable. CHIMA has created a set of community guidelines to ensure participants interact with openness, inclusivity, and respect.

By participating in community initiatives, participants agree to adhere to CHIMA’s community guidelines and the Privacy and Terms of use statements on echima.ca.

CHIMA reserves the right to delete or remove content or users deemed inappropriate, include harmful misinformation, and/or do not adhere to the guidelines. Failure to follow the guidelines may result in removal.

Please note: Guidelines are subject to change and may be updated in the future. Participants are responsible for reviewing guidelines regularly.

    Guidelines

Remember, CHIMA has zero tolerance for harassment, bullying and hate speech. Attack ideas, not people. Content deemed inappropriate, including Trolling, profanity, racial slurs and/or sexual innuendos, exploitive, solicitous, or harmful, will not be tolerated.

Do not send spam or promote or sell your goods: Self-promotion, spam, or links not relevant to the community are forbidden. Unsolicited messages, invites, or links will be deleted. Interest in the advertising of services, courses, or content with CHIMA should be directed to the partnership opportunities page.

Provide credit where it’s due: Participants must ensure, to the best of their ability, that the opinions expressed are accurate and supported by evidence when necessary, respecting copywrite and intellectual property rights.

Be kind to new users – As you were a new user once, be kind and helpful to folks.

Stay on topic: Discussion is best when aligned with the intention that drives a particular community group. If you have an idea for a new forum, please email us at general@echima.ca with your suggestion.

Remember that shared content is public information: Any material posted or shared is in the public domain. Participants are legally responsible for anything submitted.

    Rules of Conduct

Please refer to our Privacy policy and Terms of use posted on echima.ca for the legal terms of use of our website. Please note that to have an account on echima.ca you have agreed to abide by these requirements.

    Best Practices

    1. Treat others with consideration. Please lead with curiosity and consider the feelings of those within the CHIMA community.
    2. Writing in CAPITALS is considered SHOUTING. It isn’t pleasant.
    3. You have a chance to build your personal brand and reputation. Be helpful and courteous.
    4. There is always someone who knows more than you
    5. Keep comments objective. Don’t use ‘best’ or ‘greatest’, etc, unless you can back it up with facts.
    6. People appreciate new ideas and new angles to opinions, and well-thought-out counterpoints.
